Birmingham Map Necklace

Birmingham, a bustling city located in central Alabama. Known as “The Magic City”, Birmingham’s growth and success led it to becoming Alabama’s largest city and put Birmingham “on the map”. This necklace is a creation of Mandy Majerik, a Birmingham, Alabama, artist known for her mixed media and collage work. For her jewelry collection, she combines graphic art with a unique combination of found objects, such as beads and buttons, along with wire and capiz shells to create extraordinary “wearable art”. As Mandy shared with us, “I produce pieces through a process beginning with self discovery. I have fallen in love with creating unique designs tailored to different cities, attractions, and people’s lives”. All necklaces come boxed with a personal note from the artist.
