Product Description

Sloss Furnaces National Historic Landmark is one of the few, if only, sites in the United States where historic twentieth-century iron making is practiced. Sloss serves as a historical and educational site as well as the site of a metal arts program, which includes metal sculpture and foundering. Mike Neilson, an artistic photographer in Birmingham, Alabama, captured this image during a “pour” of iron from a cupola in the metal arts portion of the furnaces. Printed with pigmented ink on matte paper, each print is signed and numbered as one of a limited edition of 250. Matte black aluminum frame, UV-resistant glass. 16” x 20” fine art print, 12” x 15” image size. Ships in 1 - 2 weeks.
