Leaf and Lizard Bowl

Our fantastic leaf and lizard sculpture is amazingly lifelike! Difficult to accomplish, Tamara V. Shadinger, a Birmingham, Alabama artist, achieves this look by the method she uses. With her superior sculpting skills, Tamara presses an actual leaf into the clay which leaves behind the impression of its veins, and then hand forms the lizard. She uses the raku method of glazing and firing to achieve the realistic color variation. Each sculpture is unique, adding to the interest and value.
