The Crane Chair

Randy Cochran from Ft. Payne, Alabama, is a wood genius. We visited with him and sat in this Crane Chair. Not only does it have a high cool factor, it is very comfortable. That’s because his studio has been perfecting this design for 20 years. This chair begins as one piece of wood to ensure consistent grain pattern and color and is cold molded, not steam bent, to ensure the shape and stability of each piece. A pinned bridle joint locks legs into the hand-shaped seat. All that to say, this chair offers superb durability, comfort, and back support.
