Tuscaloosa Map Necklace

Tuscaloosa, a lovely city located in west central Alabama. As the home of The University of Alabama, and it's legendary football team, the university put this city “on the map”. This necklace is a creation of Mandy Majerik, a Birmingham, Alabama, artist known for her mixed media and collage work. For her jewelry collection, she combines graphic art with a unique combination of found objects, such as beads and buttons, along with wire and capiz shells to create extraordinary “wearable art”. As Mandy shared with us, “I produce pieces through a process beginning with self discovery. I have fallen in love with creating unique designs tailored to different cities, attractions, and people’s lives”. All necklaces come boxed with a personal note from the artist.
