Wood Turned Writing Pen

Don Freriks of Birmingham, Alabama uses his love of wood turning to create handsome and unique writing instruments. Don begins the pen-making process using a block of wood, turning it on a lathe while hand chiseling the wood. He then sands it down to perfection. Afterwards, he installs high quality Cross 7 mm hardware into the wood pen casing. Over the years, Don has fine tuned the style of his pens to develop this particular shape, which is supremely comfortable and smooth. This mahogany pen is a joy to write with. Black ink, ballpoint.
